Organic Consumers Association Starbucks Campaign

Detroit, MI

Two people from the e-mail network came with a camera and took pictures. Just about all handbills are gone, many people took the information. The management came out but didn't talk. Some people knew about the Starbucks protest on the news already by noon.

Starbucks employees came out trying to offer me coffee and Fair Trade brochures. I told them our position about wanting them to seriously promote fair trade coffee at the counter; not just in bags on a shelf. Also told them about the GE ingredients. Then a couple minutes later, another employee tryed to offer me some "soy" milk to go with the coffee. I declined. The Metro Times may also do an article.
