"Genetically Engineered Crop and Animal Farmer Protection Act of 2003", a
bill filed in the US House of Representatives (HR 2918) in July 2003 seeks
to limit the terms of contracts that seed companies selling genetically
modified crops impose on farmers. Would outlaw the corporate practice of
prohibiting farmers from saving seed from their harvest or charging them a
fee for it.
